A sharp, original well struck example of this popular early date. Very low CAC Population: 250 at PCGS, 260 NGC versus only 7 at CAC in the grade (1.4%) as of April, 2025. Some of this may be an expression of the somewhat lower value of the grade, which may discourage submission for a 'bean'. However, the percentage CAC'd in MS-63 is considerably higher, 27 versus a PCGS/NGC total of 954 coins (2.8%), indicating the somewhat stretched definition of 'Unc' when it comes to certifying better date Buffalo Nickels as MS-62. The Uncirculated nature of this example is certainly not in any doubt, justifying the premium assigned to all CAC confirmed coinage. Presently, none in the new CACG holder; per their policy this is guaranteed to cross at the same grade if submitted in situ. As a side note, there is a reasonably significant 'cud' on the Reverse at about 10:00 to 11:00, something I do not remember seeing on this generally well made date in the recent past anyway - of possible interest for someone.
