Choice Very Fine, equivalent to what you will see in a certified VF-30 (and sometime 35) holder. Some light scruffiness which could be the result of a VERY light, very old cleaning, although the color appears natural and original, so it could just be the result of the Depression era circulation this coin saw. I will note that this date like many of the tough early Walkers gets a 'mulligan' at the grading services in terms of quality - I have certainly noted coins that are far worse than this in PCGS & NGC holders. For potential interest, there is a significant die gouge at 10:00 right below Liberty's hand, something I do not remember noting on another example of the date. Definitely not a scratch as it is obviously raised above the surface, and an unlikely location or shape for a die crack. This is not listed as a variety and I was not able to find another example listed with a quick search of the subject; something perhaps worthy of further study by someone who had an interest. 1107-16
