A much better than average strike for this date, without the peripheral weakness noted by David Lange, with a very sharp Reverse other than the central bands. The Obverse details are just a touch soft and 'fuzzy', so that die was run a bit long, but far better than most I see.  Retains more than half of the luster, with a solid shot at certifying AU-58 if submitted.  A date I feel is solidly underrated if well struck and with decent surfaces, due to considerable abuse normally found on these due to the heated First World War economy.    1107-01
