Certified PCGS/CAC MS-63 in an older PCGS holder (Gen 4.0 circa 2001/2002). 191 at PCGS, 88 NGC versus only 19 CAC at time of listing. None in the new CACG holder at the grade; per CAC's policy, this is guaranteed to cross to the new holder if re-submitted. One of my favorite early dates and a great coin. Lightly toned a steely gray with reddish undertones; if you move the coin around under a light some more distinct red, blue and light yellow becomes evident. For reference, a well known national dealer is offering a similarly graded NON-CAC coin at $1,750, which while colorful has an obvious lamination on the Obverse, which I find distracting. Nothing like this here: no planchet streaks, flakes, stains or spots (a TINY flyspeck under the Bison's beard is noted for accuracy).
