Smooth evenly colored ocher-brown surfaces, typical of a coin likely put aside by a member of the general public shortly after release due to the “gee whiz” factor of the new design. The PCGS images made this coin look too dark, so I have included some of my own. Not all that common CAC, as I have noted that they tend to NOT like coins at the MS-62 grade, and especially Lincoln Cents that are Brown. A coin has to have some 'pizzaz' to get the bean. 459 at PCGS, 386 at NGC, versus only 57 at CAC. None currently in their own new holder (Dec. 2023); per CAC’s grading policy, guaranteed to cross to their own new holder should you wish to submit it.
