1896 'Bryan Money' token, one of the series struck for the 1896/1900 Presidential elections during the controversy over the Gold Standard vs. Free Silver, as championed by William Jennings Bryan. Schornstein-353, the popular 'United Snakes of America' issue featuring a donkey-headed goose - not too hard to figure out the analogy. A reasonably common type, however not in Uncirculated grades due to how they were distributed, and the soft nature of the alloy used. This shows the mildly scuffed surfaces of an MS-61, but the original prooflike surfaces are readily evident. These are somewhat difficult to image as the 'perfect' angle to show the surfaces is also the one guaranteed to get a light flair, but my pix should give you an idea. NO spots, significant marks, heavy scuffs or cuts, or corrosion, a quality example at the grade. Difficult to price precisely, however my asking price is related to similar certified pieces sold at auction in the last few years.
